  • Stayed at Acqua Vatos for 2 weeks early May. Is a lovely hotel very clean with fresh towels daily and they also provide pool towels. Lovely breakfast that set us up for the day. Lovely friendly staff. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the beach where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

  • Only just got back from staying in this amazing hotel!Me and my partner arrived late at night, however we were greeted by extremely friendly staff, who really couldn’t do enough to help. They were so welcoming and made us feel right at home straight away. The next morning we got to try the breakfast which was amazing! Everyday there was something different and everything we tried was delicious and beautifully cooked, I’d rate the food as some of the best I have tried from the numerous hotels I have stayed it all over Europe. With regards to finding out what there is to do on the island, the staff are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and can’t do enough to make sure your time in Santorini is incredible. In all, this hotel is exceptional, the staff are fantastic and without doubt, we will be coming back again. So much so, after being back In the UK only one day, we are looking to book again. The location is great, everything you need right at your doorstep. If you are looking at this review thinking about booking this hotel, just do it! It will be the best decision you make. Thank you Acqua Vatos, you made our holiday perfect!!!

  • The entrance to this hotel is as cute and inviting as can be. There are many shops and restaurants all around with only a two minute walk to the beach. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was small but that’s what I expected for the price. The pool and bar area was also very nice. We enjoyed our stay!

  • Was in Santorini for a family weddingWhat a fantastic week we had.Apart from a wonderful wedding, the hotel was clean, the staff couldn’t do more for you, its in a great location& I would highly recommend Nothing was to much trouble

  • This was my favorite hotel that I stayed at on my trip. The room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious and the staff was friendly and super helpful. I wish I stayed longer. The breakfast was amazing especially the spanakopita.. the chef is quite skilled.🙂

  • We have just left this lovely hotel and want to thank you all for the great 6 nights we had with youFantastic location ,step out the hotel and your in the middle of great resturants and shops 4mins to the beach and theres many more resturantsBreakfast was fantastic ,home made quiches ect and it changed every day ,They always greated you with a smile and maybe a joke or two The rooms are cleaned everyday and clean towels We cannot fault this hotel at allthankyou for making our holiday greatIf we return from australia agin we would def re book

  • Last few days here and have loved every minute. Its location is perfect in fact you could have a great holiday without moving more than 50 yards from its front gate. Nowhere in the resort is more than a 10 minute walk awayThe staff are really friendly , but will leave you alone if thats what you prefer.Breakfast is good and can set you up for the day. If we come back to Santorini we will definitely stay here again

  • First of all I do not agree one bit with the unfair reviews below. All staff we encountered were hospitable in every way. Breakfast was varied and tasty and the place was spotless throughout. We will be back without question. We have stayed in many places and rarely come across somewhere so hospitable. Eirini is fantastic and even gave myself and mum a lift to my sister’s hotel free of charge. Transfers were a different price than quoted but this is not the hotels fault as they do not run the services themselves. Everywhere was clean and whatever we wanted we just had to ask.

  • The hotel itself was a GREAT surprise. Everything new, beautiful with an amazing decoration. The staff, Eirini and Kosta especially were incredible, gave us directions, car rental, referrals to great and no-miss spots and restaurants. The level of attention and care was like we had never seen before. The location was perfect, half a block from the ocean and close to connections to anywhere in Santorini, Kamari is a hub of sorts. We felt at home (me and my wife), breakfast was way above all our expectations. The pool and pool bar were a separate and top attraction. We were in a 20-day trip across top spots in Greece and the Aqua Vatos was an attraction of its own. Decor, showers and bathrooms are roomy and great. No doubt, the best hotel we stayed. It wasn’t my first time in Santorini, but definitively the best. Eirini and Kosta played a huge role in making our trip unforgettable. The hotel gave us the Santorini vibe we were looking for. Well-decorated, perfect-clean, great accommodations, great breakfast, great location, amazing service. Going back to Santorini, we will surely go back to the hotel. Would give 6 starts if that was an option.

  • I was so happy to return to this hotel and had the most wonderful time there.I had a superior double room which was beautifully decorated, it had a huge, comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with a fantastic shower. The room overlooked the pool and the view was very pretty and peaceful especially at night.I had such a warm greeting from Rania who is so kind, friendly and helpful. It was so nice to see her again.I was very pleased to see Costas again too and I met for the first time Anna Maria…they are so lovely too..The whole team are such an asset to the hotel.Pool and sunbeds are better than most hotels and breakfast is fabulous, all freshly home made and such a variety.Location is excellent and I felt very safe there as a solo traveller. Also a big thank you to all the team for helping me to learn a few words in Greek.

  • I’ve just returned from a 3 night stay here on my own for a friends wedding on the island. Firstly, the staff, in particular Rania and Costos looked after me so well and are incredibly friendly! The room was clean, light and airy with a small balcony, fab bathroom, comfy bed and brilliant air con. Hanging space is plentiful and there’s a small fridge too. Breakfast looked gorgeous, however being gluten intolerant I could only have the eggs and the Greek yoghurt…. but these were yummy! Different eggs every day so some variety :)I didn’t get to use the pool area as I was out and about my entire trip, but it looks much bigger than nearby hotels!Travel is simple… a taxi from the airport was €20 each (I ended up sharing with 3 other travellers) but took 10 minutes. There’s a bus stop over the road to travel to Thira at €1.80…. however this is very busy so be prepared to stand! Costos will call you a taxi if required, I paid €15/20 to Thira. Also, there are many places to hire quad bikes near by… I wasn’t brave enough but maybe you will be!Local amenities… there are restaurants everywhere close by, along the beach front and on the streets back. You’ll pay around €6-8 for cocktails, and meals range from €8 upwards depending on what you fancy. As I’m gluten intolerant I thought I’d struggle, but found most local places to be helpful. Thank you Rania and Costos, I loved every second and you guys made it for me!Laura xx

  • We’ve just got back from a three night stay at Acqua Vatos and we loved it! We were in Santorini for a friends wedding and most of the wedding party were staying in different hotels around Kamari, so we picked Acqua Vatos for ours and are so pleased we did! Just outside the hotel are lots of lovely shops, cafes and bars. And it’s literally a one minute walk straight down to Kamari beach which is bustling with so many bars and restaurants. We couldn’t of picked a better hotel! The staff were all so friendly, the hotel was lovely and looks just like it does on all the online promo photos. The breakfast was AMAZING! For a relatively small hotel the breakfast was seriously fabulous! So much voice of cereals, pastries, cakes, breads, pies, pancakes, all sorts! Both me and my boyfriend thought the breakfast was fantastic and were telling all our friends about it. The pool area was lovely, wish we had more time to go on there but was fab with a pool bar and lovely sun beds which you could always get no matter what time you went. Our first time to Santorini was amazing and we’re so glad we picked here to stay. Will definitely be back!

  • This was the second time we have stayed at this delightful hotel and it surpassed the first time we stayed, which was fantastic too! The staff remembered me from the year before and gave me such a greeting! The hotel was spotless and the breakfast was lovely. Rania the manager was a delight and made us feel so welcome the whole time. We also got to know Annamaria who works in the pool bar very well, And George the hotel owner and his Daughter.. we were made to feel like part of the Aqua Vatos family! When staying at the hotel please eat at Elias grill the food is to die for! Also try Juicy Burger across the road.. their burgers are fantastic!!I have recommended the hotel to two of my friends and their husbands, and they are also booking the hotel. When visiting Santorini I could never stay anywhere else.. Its the best hotel on the Island!!

  • Just come back from a weeks stay at Acqua Vatos. Very happy with our choice. Requested a downstairs room for an elderly relative who isn’t great on her pins and it was perfect for her. We had some stairs but that was fine, it’s not a large hotel. Fantastic location, very close to beach, shops, bakeries and restaurants. Rooms are really smart and clean, aircon works well, fridge works and isn’t noisy, rooms cleaned daily. Only thing missing was a kettle (us Brits!) but tea and coffee is free and on tap from the restaurant. Balconies are small with garden views, but very private and offset by a lovely big clean pool and lots of sunbeds. Breakfasts were worth getting out of bed for (and I like my sleep!), lots of choice and lovely homemade pastries. Service was friendly. Overall great value.

  • What a fantastic little gem of a hotel, went to Santorini for a friends wedding, 60 guests staying all over the island, stayed in the junior suite, which was spacious and had a large balcony with large en suite with great shower, large comfortable double bed. Nice pool with great pool service. Breakfast was a mixture of hot an cold meats, eggs, pastries, pies and the usual cereals, freshly cooked every day, enough choice to fill you up for a day of sight seeing or beach/pool day. The staff were so helpful freindly and knowledgeable about their island. Immaculately clean hotel, iron and iron board available-took our own travel kettle, breakfast had a lovely nescaffe machine though. The location of this hotel was perfect for our needs, with bus services hourly to other parts of the island, we opted for the quad bikes 30-40 euros a day, delivered to your hotel if needed, took about 30-35 mins to get up to oia for the sunsets, or 15 mins to thira for the donkey trail. The beach is a 3 minute walk from the hotel with endless restaurants an beach. Highly recommend this hotel and cant wait to stay again, loved every minute. Only 10 mins from airport with taxi about 20 euros.

  • Great hotel in the centre of Kamari village in Santorini. Very clean and modern rooms. Huge swimming pool. Value for money. Very quite place and air conditioned rooms, the temperature here is always over 30 degrees but inside the room was cool !

  • Excellent staff , very friendly and helpful.Specially Rania and Costas at the front desk.Fantastic breakfast. Clean room and easy access to the black sand beach in Kamari .We definitely recommend this hotel.Tess and Oggie , Toronto, Canada

  • Family run hotel and all staff take immense pride in providing the very best service they can to you. It is not a modern Hilton with 40″+ TVs but instead it is simple a WONDERFUL place to stay. Real charm, character, calm, relaxing and the staff are just fabulous. From the moment we arrived for 4 nights, felt relaxed – the owners have done an amazing job and Rania and Costas at the front desk are worth their weight in gold. We’ve stayed at some of the most expensive hotels in the world which are stunning but this hotel has the charm you will never experience there.Would I return ? Absolutely – this is the ONLY place I would stay in Santarini

  • It’s very nice place with nice breakfast. Clean .Closes to the beach and restaurants. Good service and helpful reception desk Good price for quality. It has swimming pool and resting area. Also offer all excursion service

  • We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 1 week in May 2017. From the moment we arrived we knew it was special. Arrived at night to lanterns on the steps and were welcomed by a lovely lady on reception. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and fresh and we sat outside on the a small terrace to eat. We made lots of new friends at the hotel. We absolutely love Aqua Vatos. It’s central location is ideal and the restaurants, shops, bars and beach were so near. We loved the Love Boat cocktail bar by the beach. Beautiful cocktails, reasonably priced. We also loved the Rakemelo restaurant. Fantastic food cooked by Mama!Bus stops a few feet way. Can’t wait till we are back in May 2018!

  • Beautiful hotel, our room had air con and a fridge at no extra charge. Breakfast was delicious with all kinds of options. We will be revisiting this hotel again. It has been a lovely experience. You must visit the pizza restaurant just opposite the hotel its amazing!

  • The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, the staff are so friendly and the outside pool area is heavenly. Breakfast is perfect, honestly couldn’t fault any of it. WiFi not great but not a problem due to how peaceful the area is.

  • We had a fab time at the Aqua Vatos. Everything was perfect. If I were to nit pick the bathroom was tiny. But It certainly diddnt bother us. The breakfasts were lovely. Free tea and coffee all day long. The pool was gorgeous. And the hotel was well placed for Everything! We will certainly return to the beautiful Aqua Vatos, . We are returning to Santorini next week. But this hotel was booked up. So sad we were…next time defo!

  • We have just returned from Kamari and It was a great place to stay and Santorini is a very beautiful Island to visit. However, due to the value of the pound it is a little on the expensive side, especially Fira.I love the Acqua Vatos Hotel. The location is perfect as it’s extremely close to everything, including the beach, restaurants, cocktail bars, shops and the bus stop to Fira and Oia. The rooms are spotless, stylish and clean with a large comfortable bed, balcony, fridge, TV and a very good modern bathroom with shower. There was plenty of storage for clothes. It has a lovely pool in a pretty garden and has plenty of comfortable sun loungers or chairs. There are also different size rooms that you can choose from to suit your budget, all very good value for Kamari and Santorini. The breakfast is great with a large selection including freshly baked Greek pastries. Miltos and Rania on reception are so friendly and all the staff working here are all lovely and so kind and helpful. My wife and I were so happy here, I didn’t want to leave. Fira and Oia are both worth a visit and are very easy to get to, although you have to be a bit of a mountain goat getting around. The views are fantastic and the sunset at Oia is spectacular, It has to be one of the most attractive places in Greece.

  • Great Hotel, well maintained rooms are clean & fresh. Rania and the reception staff are friendly, kind and very helpful. lovely pool at the side of the Hotel. The location is great2 minutes down the road is the Beach, all around are great restaurants and shops everything you need is close by, local bus stop to Fira 1 minute away. Buffet Breakfastat the hotel was fine, there is something for everyone.

  • we’ve just spent a wonderful week at the Acqua Vatos hotel. The rooms were lovely though the bed was a little hard. The staff were so friendly and very helpful offering advice on everything we asked. The reception, terrace and pool areas were all lovely. The breakfasts were excellent- very varied and you could eat as much as you wanted.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

  • I love this hotel. The location is perfect as it’s extremely close by to everything, including the beach, restaurants, cocktail bars, shops and the bus stop to Fira and Oia.The rooms are very stylish and clean with a large comfortable bed, balcony, fridge,tv and a fantastic modern power shower. There was plenty of storage for clothes.Lovely large pool in a pretty garden which is great for swimming and has plenty of comfortable sun loungers and chairs. There are also different size rooms that you can choose from to suit your budget, all very good value for Kamari and Santorini.Drinks are served all day at the pool bar by the very friendly barman Costas.Breakfast is great with a large selection including freshly baked Greek pastries.Rania and Miltos on reception are so friendly and helpful. In fact everyone working here are all lovely and so kind and they all helped me with some new Greek words I was trying to learn.I was so happy here, I didn’t want to leave.

  • Absolutely loved our holiday here the staff were amazing especially Rania on reception couldn’t do enough for you can not find one fault with this hotel fantastic location would definitely return and thank you again Rania

  • I’m sitting outside this lovely hotel waiting to be picked up to go home 😡This little hotel has every thing it’s right on the main route down to the beach (100metres) and also the front where all the restaurants are The hotel it’s self is great with breakfast every day something different from eggs and bacon to Greek delicacy The pool is not a bad size with plenty of sun beds and for those who like shade lots of that too The staff well what can one say Rahia is in charge and runs it like a well oiled machine she is always there morning and night along side her are the two guys who help run the poolside bar and reception The rooms was good with a small balcony and was kept clean and tidy every day the only down side was the lack of water pressure when every body was showering at the same time and also the pillows where too hard for me (own personal preference ) overall this is a little gem Well worth a visit

  • The hotel is beautifull, a lovely pool with always sun and shadow, verry nice people , nice food mmmmmm…the rooms are lovely …I love the spiritual touch … shops are nearby …you can relax and you don’t have to worry … Ierina Rania takes care of everything … you have the sunrise … and the moon set …the lovely beach so close … a great place to be in Acqua Vatos Santorini Hotel 🎀

  • We recently travelled to Santorini for a friends wedding. There were a group of 8 adults staying in Aqua Vatos and we all found it to be a great location for our needs. It was a stones throw from the beach and its many restaurants, and the bus stop to take you into the capital Fira is even closer. Our room 212 was a superior, and great, we had a lovely size room and a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff are lovely, I found once I took the time to speak to them they were very friendly and helpful with many things. The pool area is nice and relaxed, with a small pool bar serving drinks and snacks. I recommend the strawberry mojitos! If I was to return to santorini I would not hesitate to stay at Aqua Vatos.

  • We travelled to Santorini on the 26th August and stayed for a week at the Acqua Vatos Hotel and booked the hotel via booking.com. I couldn’t fault this hotel one bit. The hotel itself is lovely, the location is great and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival the member of staff working warmly welcomed us and carried our cases to our rooms. The room itself was fairly spacious with room to hang your clothes and also a set of drawers. Bathroom was clean, towels were replenished every day and toilet paper when necessary. Small shower gels and shampooing items were already in the bathroom as well as a hair dryer. The decor of the hotel is modern and quite quirky. The pool area has comfortable sun loungers and a small bar where you can buy light snacks and drinks for a decent price. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious and the cooked food was never the same ranging from scrambled/fried eggs and homemade Greek food (sweet and savoury) – it was delicious! Unlimited tea/coffee as well as juice and water. They also have cereals, pastries, bread and fruit. Every member of staff that I encountered there were friendly and always there to help if you needed them. Location at this hotel is excellent. Outside the hotel is a busy main road where there’s shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc. There’s a bus stop just steps from the hotel that can take you to Fira and once there you can change to go to Oía – I would highly recommend you visit both places as they’re both so beautiful. The beach is a short walk down the road where you’ll find other restaurants/bars on the sea front.I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Kamari/Santorini, if I were to go to again I’d definitely stay here.

  • Excellent location with all amenities close by, including the beach. There is a main road outside but this did not affect the stay at all.Staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful. All areas of the hotel were very clean and well maintained. The rooms were spacious with modern bathrooms. They were cleaned every day, beds and towels always clean. There was also towels for the pool / beach. The beds were very comfortable. There was enough space in wardrobe and drawers to store clothes. A good sized patio to the ground floor room with chairs and a table.Plenty of time for breakfast and a nice choice of food which was different each day with lovely home cooked dishes. Usual choice of cereals, yogurt, fruit, ham and cheese etc. Tea and coffee available throughout the day. Nice outdoor terrace for breakfast.Pool is of good size with plenty of cushioned sunbeds and a small bar selling drinks and snacks.Kamari has lots of restaurants and cafe bars with beds on the beach. Easy access to most restaurants and nice walking along the front which has limited vehicle access.Local bus stop just across the road where you can get the bus to Fira – the capital – which is worth a visit and you can also get the bus to Oia from there which is definitely worth a visit. Plenty to see on the island if you want to explore. There are two shops near the hotel where you can book boat trips. You can also book trips at the hotel.Would definitely recommend this hotel.

  • Just returned from a lovely holiday at the Acqua Vatos Hotel staff were very friendly and only to happy to help. I was a little concerned to read the review from Jamie from Eastbourne the only thing I would suggest don’t put yourself under so much stress, I believe there are some lovely hotel in Eastbourne. J from Brighton

  • Our main reason for visiting Santorini was to attend a wedding however we made full use of our down days. Acqua Vatos is located just off the main beach but positioned for all local amenities including parking as sort of oasis amongst a vibrant town. Being out all day we loaded up with a fantastic mixed Greek breakfast which changed most days having been prepared fresh by a very nice Greek lady. Credit to the Manager and her team they maintain a good standard all round. We opted for a room at the rear which opened up onto a secluded garden (Great for drying wet towels etc) The pool was surrounded by trees and bushes which we only used once preferring to explore the island and some secluded beaches far from the ones packed with tourists.
