ACCESS
Santorini is easily reachable by direct flights operated year-round by Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines via Athens International Airport. Additionally, several charter flights operate between April and October from various European cities.

CLIMATE
Santorini enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, with long periods of sunshine, warm and dry summers and mild winters, making it an ideal destination almost any time of the year.

WATER
Tap water is safe for washing, bathing and brushing teeth. For drinking, please use bottled water.

TRANSPORTATION

  • The main taxi station is in Fira’s central square.
  • With prior notice, Acqua Vatos Hotel can arrange pick-up from any location.
  • The bus stop is located right outside the hotel’s main entrance, with daily routes covering the entire island.
  • The main bus terminal is next to Fira’s taxi station.
  • We can also assist in renting a car or quad bike for independent island exploration.

BANKS
Banks in Santorini operate:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 14:30
  • Friday: 08:00 – 14:00

ATMs are available in most villages for convenient access.

CURRENCY
The official currency is the Euro (€).
